he idea behind the name Size 36 came from European men's clothing for small sizes. Quentin Shih is a film director and photographer based in New York has just set up his company that produces short films. That's where the needle and the thread comes from. We knew that the logo needs to be typographicaly refined and simple.

The type design of the logo is custom made based on modern type of François Didot. The tail of the 'Z' was gracefully elongated. This influence obviously comes from the elegant calligraphy practices. The titling serif with didot of the numbers is extended and transformed into the thread that goes through the needle hole.
